Angle Mouse v2.0.3
Angle Mouse v2.0.3 The Angle Mouse is a pointing facilitation technique that runs quietly in the background and improves the efficiency and ease of mouse pointing, especially for people with motor impairments. The Angle Mouse is a target-agnostic pointing facilitation technique that works by continually adjusting the control-display (C-D) gain based on how coherent (straight) or divergent (angular) the mouse movement is. When the mouse moves straight, the gain is kept high, but when the mouse corrects abruptly, often near targets, the gain is dropped, making targets bigger in motor-space. If you have any questions or comments, contact Jacob O. Wobbrock at wobbrock@uw.edu. The Angle Mouse requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. Download it here. This software is distributed under the New BSD License agreement. Publications Wobbrock, J.O., Fogarty, J., Liu, S., Kimuro, S. and Harada, S. (2009). Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS
Impro-Visor v10.2 for MacOS Impro-Visor (short for “Improvisation Advisor”) is a music notation program designed to help jazz musicians compose and hear solos similar to ones that might be improvised. The objective is to improve understanding of solo construction and tune chord changes. There are other, secondary, things it can do, such as improvise on its own. It has also been used for transcription. Because rhythm-section (e.g. piano, bass, drums) accompaniment is automatically generated from chords, Impro-Visor can be used as a play-along device. Now having a wider array of accompaniment styles, its use is not limited to jazz. Partial List of Features: Lead sheets and solos can be constructed through either point-and-click or using a plain text editor (one is provided, but any editor can be used). Optional automatic note coloration shows whether notes are consonant or dissonant with chords and scales. Chords may also be entered quickly through a "roadmap" editor, which also analyzes chord changes for implied keys and idiomatic progressions ("bricks"). Harmonic note entry option guides the user to select notes that are consonant with harmony. Similarly, transposition options provide chromatic or harmonic transposition. Solos or solo fragments can be played back immediately on the computer, with automatic rhythm section accompaniment. Can be used for self-study, classroom, or play-along. Any segment of a leadsheet can be played back in looped mode. Users can define new accompaniment styles. There is spreadsheet-like Style Editor, and a Style Extractor facility that helps create styles from MIDI performances. . Solos and heads may be exported as MIDI files, with accompaniment if desired. Solos and heads may be exported as MusicXML, for import to other popular music notation software. It is not necessary that the soloist memorize the solos that are created in Impro-Visor. The act of constructing solos is intended to help one get a better understanding of the tune ...

Middens
Middens Middens is an exploration game using collage and original pixel art in tandem that takes the perspective of a drifter traversing a veritable x-zone. Roving its interminable wastes the nomad chances upon a sentient revolver beside an ominous pile of remains. The pistol offers its exploit in exchange for a pledge of inextricable compansionship. Espousing to be the player's conscience the dubious weapon directs the drifter to a nearby outpost wherein the story further unfolds. Despite its appearance as a wasteland the rift is home to many strange denizens--- some volatile and others ineffectual. Whatever their disposition the pistol represents the choice to engage them or to spare them. Aggression and passivity have their appropriate times with rewards and consequences being granted to both paths respectively.

PhonerLite v2.74
PhonerLite v2.74 PhonerLite is a clearly arranged application for Windows. PhonerLite enables your PC to use it for Internet telephony (VoIP , Voice over IP ). Pre-conditions are a full-duplex sound card , a microphone and speakers (alternatively a headset), an Internet connection and an account from a provider supporting the protocol SIP . PhonerLite supports several SIP profiles, each configurable independently. PhonerLite supports state of the art encryption methods like TLS, SRTP and ZRTP. Why is "PhonerLite" the right name? Phoner: There is an application called Phoner , with that PhonerLite shares common code and the file "sipper.dll". All VoIP specific configurations are the same and can be exchanged between Phoner and PhonerLite without any transformations. If Phoner and PhonerLite are installed in the same directory, they use the same DLL and configuration data (sipper.ini). Basically PhonerLite uses only a different GUI than Phoner. Lite: Like in Coke light the name affix suggests a light version of the original product. PhonerLite doesn't save any calories but resources - in this special case space and memory requirements.Usability is much easier than for Phoner. This advantage got some disadvantages: there is no answering machine and no support for TTS . Is PhonerLite free of charge? YES! PhonerLite is freeware. PhonerLite can be used, copied, and offered for download again without any fees in private and business environments. But PhonerLite is no open source. license Except where otherwise noted, all of the documentation and software included in the PhonerLite package is copyrighted by Heiko Sommerfeldt. Pointing Magnifier 3 v3.2.2
Pointing Magnifier 3 v3.2.2 A free cursor replacement designed to reduce the need for fine motor control. Created by: Jacob O. Wobbrock, Ph.D. Leah Findlater, Ph.D. Alexis Hiniker, Ph.D. Alex Jansen University of Washington It is also useful in getting a close look at any region of the screen without losing the surrounding context, which has been useful to graphic designers and people with low vision. With the Pointing Magnifier, the usual mouse cursor is replaced by a semi-transparent circular "area cursor." When the user clicks, the area beneath this circular cursor becomes magnified, as if a lens. Once magnified, the typical mouse cursor arrow appears within the magnified lens, allowing for normal mouse operations, but now on much larger targets. The Pointing Magnifier supports all button-based actions: clicking, double-clicking, right-clicking, dragging, and button dwelling, both on the cursor itself and within its magnified lens. It does not trigger mouse movement-based events—mouse over, mouse hover, mouse enter, or mouse leave—due to technical limitations. In version 3 of the Pointing Magnifier, the lens itself can be dragged. It can also be nudged with the arrow keys. In addition, it contains support for multi-monitor displays. The original Pointing Magnifier was developed in 2010-2011 by Alex Jansen, with lead designer Leah Findlater and supervised by Jacob O. Wobbrock. More than a decade later, numerous feature requests and design improvements have resulted in the creation of the Pointing Magnifier 3 by Jacob O. Wobbrock, with help from Alexis Hiniker. As of version 2, the Pointing Magnifier is a complete rebuild containing no code from version 1. See what's new. Comparison to Windows Magnifier How does the Pointing Magnifier compare to the built-in Windows Magnifier? Windows Magnifier has three modes: lens, docked, and full screen. All three are primarily directed towards people with low vision, as they each make some or all of the screen larger. ...

ShadowExplorer (PORTABLE) v0.9
ShadowExplorer (PORTABLE) v0.9 ShadowExplorer allows you to browse the Shadow Copies created by the Windows Vista / 7 / 8 Volume Shadow Copy Service. It's especially thought for users of the home editions, who don't have access to the shadow copies by default, but it's also useful for users of the other editions. Shadow Copy From time to time, Windows Vista / 7 / 8/ 10 creates point-in-time copies of your files. This allows you to retrieve older versions from files you accidentally deleted or altered. This service is turned on by default on all versions of Windows Vista/7, but Microsoft grants access to these copies only in Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise editions. This is where ShadowExplorer comes into play. For more information on Shadow Copy, visit Microsofts website. ShadowExplorer Since the Volume Shadow Copy Service is included, and turned on by default, in all editions of Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10, why not take advantage of it? All it takes is an additional tool like ShadowExplorer, that can access the shadow storage and make the point-in-time copies accessible to the user. Features Show available point-in-time copies Browse through Shadow Copies Retrieve versions of files and folders Limitations Shadow Copies and ShadowExplorer are in no way a replacement for regular backups! This is very important and can't be stressed enough. A Shadow Copy is kept on the same disc as the original data. In case of a disc failure all data is lost, including the Shadow Copies. ShadowExplorer is a good addition to regular backups, but not a replacement. Changes: ShadowExplorer 0.9 This release has improved dialog boxes and fixes some minor compatibility issues with Windows 8. Click here to visit the author's website.

Simple Software-restriction Policy v2.20
Simple Software-restriction Policy v2.20 A software policy makes a powerful addition to Microsoft Windows' malware protection. In particular, it is more effective against ransomware than traditional approaches to security. If you know about the Linux 'execute permission' bit then you'll understand what this is for. The mode of operation is somewhat different in that execute permission is granted to folders and subfolders rather than individual files, but the intention is the same, to stop undesirable or unknown software from launching unless you OK it. Additionally, it is possible to specify that certain executables (typically browsers and email clients) are run with reduced rights. This is a valuable damage-limitation measure against browser plugin vulns, etc. The protection can be turned off without a reboot whilst installing legitimate software, and will automatically reactivate after a specified time Click here to visit the author's website.
